We have done many weddings there and when you get married they fire off the cannons which is amazing. There are some great things to do in Chatham. The Fort is huge and it’s great to walk round lovely views across the river. You have to go in the tunnels they do tours giving informative guide on the tunnels.

Fort Amhurstwas built in Napoleonic times and that is what everyone is dressed as and if you get married there they are all dressed in Napoleonic uniforms. The grounds are free to walk around but you have to pay for the tour of the tunnels. A nice little café for you to buy food and gifts. They rely on volunteers so remember some of these people don’t get paid and will bend over backwards for you whatever you need.

There are some great places to go in Chatham and the Dockside Outlet centre is one of them with free parking outside plus a multi storey car park. Loads of cafes restaurants great all you can eat Chinese at the Real China restaurant great value lovely food. There is great bargains at The Range store and Next clothes store and the Cadbury shop which has lovely chocolates. There is also the Aussie Café which has beautiful cakes. Pizza, and what complex is not complete without a Nandos and a wok to go for super fast food at reasonable process. Great value food. Plus a multiscreen Cinema. Great value food and drinks during the day and the evening. Always do great Christmas parties. The Poachers Pocket is a Hungary Horse pub so its great food at a good price for the whole family. Staff are very good ask about the specials There is a big play area outside for the kids.

Nice pub had many a good night in here. Food is good staff are friendly. Steak is lovely and the burgers are great. Plenty of car parking.
